A postdoctoral position is open in the Laboratory of Autonomic and Respiratory
Control in the Department of Physiology, School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto -m University of São Paulo, Brazil. The selected researcher will join a FAPESP-funded Thematic Project entitled “Astrocytic modulation on brainstem neurons involved with generation and control of sympathetic and respiratory activities in rodents submitted to hypoxia“ coordinated by Professor Benedito H. Machado.       
            Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in physiological sciences and be motivated to study different aspects of the central neural control of cardiovascular and respiratory functions. For the application, the following are required: 1) Reference letters from 2 established investigators; 2) Curriculum Vitae; and 3) a cover letter explaining the main reason why the candidate is applying for this post-doc position.
        The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship, which stipends are R$ 9.047,40 (BRL) per month, and additional research contingency funding equivalent to 10% of the annual fellowship stipend to defray any other expenses directly related to the research activity.
